I returned to Barstow, Illinois today for different assignment and couldn’t resist revisiting the abandoned trailer park along the Rock River. A friend, who grew up in Barstow “It's so strange to see the place empty--it's like the rapture hit. It used to be overrun with kids and life!” A cold April wind blows the feral trees sprouting up around the remains of homes in the abandoned trailer park.

iPhone Gallery

My iPhone gallery is a combination of street photography, photojournalism and art photography. There is just something special about shooting in a square format versus the majority of my work done with a DSLR. I love the creative freedom of shooting with an iPhone. It allows me to return to the days of shooting 2 and a quarter without the hassle, and expense, of film.
